The Christmas Cracker Chase is our annual women only fun run. It comprises a 5km and 10km event, along Worthing seafront, normally held on the first Saturday in December. The event starts at the Lido and is an out and back course. It is totally flat and traffic free on a variety of surfaces, sea views all the way! We like to think it is a fun, friendly event and would encourage participants to enter into the Christmas spirit and wear something festive. We aim to donate a good proportion of the proceeds to a local cause each year.
Thanks to all of you who entered the 2008 event. It was good to see you all back again, and weren't we lucky with the weather this year. Profit from this year's event will be donated to the Mary How Trust, a local charity involved in cancer screening.
Once again thank you all who braved the uncertain conditions to turn up for the 2009 Christmas Cracker Chase. We managed to escape the worst of the elements on the day although we know that the runners in the 10k had some trying conditions at the far end of the course. Well done everyone for surviving the mud and the vast expanses of water on the grassy sections. We hope that you all enjoyed the day. This year's donation will be made to the Osteoporosis Society.
